About us

Building Foundation, One Child at a Time

Founded on the principles of Helen Wambui, EMIS is dedicated to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. We recognize that every child is an individual with their own unique potential. Our certified educators guide each child through a carefully prepared curriculum that encourages independence, critical thinking, and a sense of wonder.

The EMIS Journey

From Little Learners to Logical Thinkers

kindergarten

Our kindergarten program is all about discovery. We introduce children to the foundational concepts of literacy and numeracy through hands-on, multi-sensory materials.

Tuition Yr 1-2

As children progress, our curriculum expands to include more complex subjects while maintaining the hands-on approach. In these years, students begin to transition from concrete materials to abstract thinking, always supported by a rational and logical learning process.

Tuition Yr 3-4

In the final years, students become independent learners and critical thinkers. Our curriculum prepares them for the transition to middle school, with an emphasis on research skills, logical reasoning, and collaborative projects.

Tuition

01

kindergarten

Our kindergarten program is designed to be the perfect introduction to formal learning. We create a nurturing and stimulating environment where your child's natural curiosity and love for discovery are celebrated every day.

02

Year 1-2

We build on the solid foundation established in our early years program. This is a crucial period where we guide children in their transition from concrete, hands-on learning to more abstract and logical reasoning.

03

Year 3-4

We guide our students to become more independent learners and critical thinkers. Building on the foundational skills from earlier years, this stage is a crucial transition from concrete materials to abstract concepts.

02

Year 5-6

We prepare our students to become confident, independent, and resilient learners ready for the next phase of their academic journey. At this stage, our curriculum focuses on refining their skills in critical thinking, research, and self-directed learning.

Note: Tuition fees are payable in monthly installments to make them more manageable for families.

Why us

The best early learning experience

At EMIS, we don't just teach—we inspire. Our program is thoughtfully designed to create a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. Here are three simple, kid-friendly reasons to choose us:

Kindness

We believe kindness is the most important lesson of all. We teach our students to be empathetic and compassionate, creating a community where every child feels valued and respected.

Creativity

Curiosity is the engine of learning. We encourage our students to think outside the box, express themselves freely, and use their imaginations to solve problems and create beautiful things.

Emotional

We nurture happy, well-adjusted children. We help our students understand and manage their feelings, build strong relationships, and develop the social skills they need to thrive in the world.

Innovation

We are always evolving to provide the best education. Our innovative teaching methods and materials keep learning fresh and exciting, preparing our students for a future that is constantly changing.

Morning Huddles

Our day begins with a collaborative circle time where children practice social skills, share observations, and set intentions for the day. This time is crucial for building a sense of community and focusing the mind for the learning period ahead.

The Basics

During this focused session, students engage with materials that solidify foundational skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic. For our older students (Years 3-6), this is where abstract concepts are introduced, always building upon the concrete understanding gained in earlier years.

Play Stations

A dedicated period for creative expression and development. Through art, building blocks, and puzzles, children enhance their fine motor control and imaginative thinking. This is where concepts from the Learning Lab are often unconsciously reinforced through play.

Learning Lab

This is our dedicated Montessori work cycle. Children choose from a range of structured, hands-on materials (like our math and language tools). The focus is on sensorial impressions and the process of discovery, allowing each child to work at their own pace and build logical reasoning skills through concrete experience.

Superfoods

More than just snack time, this is an opportunity for Practical Life skills. Children learn about nutrition, prepare simple snacks, and practice grace and courtesy while sharing a meal. It's about nurturing their bodies and developing independence.

Outdoor Play

A vital part of the EMIS day! Outdoor time allows children to develop gross motor skills, engage in cooperative games, and connect with nature. It’s essential for their physical health and provides a natural environment for social and emotional development.
